There are so many ways to get rid of flies. You can buy fly strips, flyswatters, or bug spray. You can install screens on your windows and keep your doors closed. Keeping your trash cans closed and regularly cleaned will also prevent attracting flies. When you find your house full of flies, it must mean you like flies.

The same is true for many other things in your life. If you have rude employees, you must like that. If your employees are poorly trained, you must like that. Do your children have bad manners? Are you not saving money for a rainy day? Yep, you must like those things too.

Be careful what you allow, what you tolerate, what you accept. Any action or inaction becomes what you do, what you accept, and what you allow. Allowing undesirable behaviors to go without reaction or consequence is encouraging that behavior to continue. Oprah Winfrey said it best “at the end of the day, you teach people how to treat you.”

Make a list of all the fly problems in your life that you are not dealing with because these fly problems will multiply. One rude employee today will become ten tomorrow. One poor habit this week will lead to ten tomorrow.

Remember, what you tolerate, you encourage. Be intolerant of the right things. Get vocal and react when undesirable behaviors impact your life. Discourage the behaviors that you don’t want someone to repeat. You encourage what you tolerate, and the actions you accept from others indicate how you see yourself.
