If you aren’t making mistakes, you aren’t taking action. Action is the only way to accomplish anything. When you are busy doing and taking action, mistakes are inevitable. When you make a mistake, you are learning.
Mistakes are the best teachers. Success comes to those who willingly risk making mistakes while pursuing their goals. But, you have to learn from those mistakes, and that begins by owning them. Additionally, learning what doesn’t work is as important as knowing what does work.
Furthermore, successful people continuously review their actions in search of ways to improve on them. They do this even with the pursuits that were considered flawless. No doubt that you have found yourself saying, “I should have said this,” or, “I should have done that differently.” If so, that is you reviewing your actions in search of ways to improve.
Don’t hide, deny, or try to run from your mistakes. Take pride in the fact that you are trying. As you continue taking action and learning from those actions’ results, you are developing in-depth knowledge on how to be effective. Most importantly, with that knowledge, you can become whatever you set your mind to becoming.
